Medal of Honor Banquet

The Medal of Honor Banquet is a celebration of extraordinary service, courage, and commitment to both country and community.

This year, we proudly pay tribute to two remarkable men — World War II veteran Sam Meyer and Navarro County Veterans Service Officer Tim Easley — whose lives exemplify the highest ideals of honor and service.

Sam Meyer, a decorated World War II veteran, embodies the bravery and sacrifice of the Greatest Generation — those who answered the call to defend freedom around the world. His story reminds us of the enduring cost of liberty and the unwavering strength of the human spirit.

Tim Easley, recognized for his tireless advocacy on behalf of local veterans, has dedicated his life to ensuring that those who served receive the care, respect, and support they deserve. His leadership and compassion have profoundly impacted veterans and their families throughout Navarro County.

The evening will include heartfelt remarks, a formal presentation of honors, and reflections on the spirit of service that unites all who have worn the uniform. Together, we honor these two extraordinary men for their enduring contributions to our nation and our community.
